ابطحی در سخنانی با اشاره به جلسه كمیسیون تلفیق گفته بود كه در این جلسه مقرر شد برای طرح توسعه مجلس 195 میلیارد تومان ؛ رهن و اجاره دفاتر نمایندگان 150 میلیارد تومان ؛ هزینه اسكان نمایندگان جدید 5/43 میلیارد تومان ؛ اعتبارات هزینه های مجلس 15 میلیارد تومان ،‌استقرار موقت نمایندگان جدید یك میلیارد تومان و افزایش بودجه عمرانی مجلس 50 میلیارد تومان اختصاص یابد.
